Compare three collaborative welding configurations

Choose between detachable handheld-and-cobot laser welding, precision-head laser welding and MIG/MAG arc welding. These are three distinct process configurations, with their own welding package and workholding requirements.

TY-HS5019-1 Handheld and Cobot Laser Welding Machine

Use the detachable laser welding gun by hand or mount it on a six-axis collaborative arm. Repeated seams can follow a taught robot path, while manual operation supports varied parts and touch-up work. Choose the air-cooled or water-cooled laser package for the application.

TY-HS5019-2 Collaborative Robot Laser Welding Machine

An integrated collaborative-arm laser welding workstation with a precision welding head and flexible workholding. Teach repeatable paths for circular seams, curved joints and visible metal assemblies, with the robot and fixture selected around the part.

TY-HS5019-3 Collaborative Robot MIG Welding Machine

Combine a six-axis collaborative arm, a digital MIG/MAG welding power source and workpiece positioning for structural metal fabrication. Configure the torch, wire, shielding gas and fixture for the material, joint and welding sequence.

Prepare your selection brief

  • Provide weld paths, workpiece dimensions and the proposed fixture.
  • Identify the reach and payload needed with the selected welding tool.
  • Describe operator access, loading steps and the safety assessment required for the application.

Robot configuration questions

How should I compare the systems?

Start with the required process, material, geometry and loading workflow. Then compare the complete robot, tooling, fixture and connected equipment.

What is needed for a project quote?

Provide part drawings, dimensions, material, production targets, loading method and available floor space. Identify interfaces to existing equipment.

Are robot repeatability and finished-part tolerance the same?

No. Robot repeatability describes the robot motion. The resulting cut, weld or placement also depends on tooling, fixtures, workpiece variation and process settings.

Which model supports handheld welding?

TY-HS5019-1 uses a detachable laser welding head for manual or cobot-mounted operation. TY-HS5019-2 uses a precision laser welding head, while TY-HS5019-3 uses a MIG/MAG arc-welding package.
