Match cleaning modes to changing surface tasks

Suitcase-format mobility

An extendable pull handle and integrated wheels support movement between workshop stations and field-maintenance locations.

Multi-mode beam configuration

The multi-mode beam configuration lists 5 mJ at 200 W and 5 or 15 mJ at 300 / 500 W; confirm the selected pairing against the surface-cleaning task.

Three listed power options

The 200, 300 and 500 W configurations share a 10-100 mm listed cleaning width and maximum scanning speed of 30,000 mm/s.

Air-cooled architecture

The listed configuration uses air cooling and does not require an external water-cooling circuit, reducing the supporting equipment moved with the cleaner.

Five-metre working reach

The listed 5 m fiber cable provides separation between the suitcase enclosure and the handheld cleaning point for work around installed components.

Matched to the workpiece

Power, pulse energy and process settings are confirmed after checking the base material, surface layer, cleaning area, access and required acceptance result.

From surface review to cleaning acceptance

The final power, pulse energy and cleaning mode are selected from the material, surface layer, access conditions, target finish and acceptance criteria.

  1. 01

    Base material and surface-layer review

  2. 02

Rust, paint, oxide or residue defined

  3. 03

  6. 06

Process settings and pulse energy confirmed

  7. 07

Head weight and cable reach reviewed

  8. 08

Safety, extraction and delivery scope confirmed

Compare the process package inside the wheeled case

Distinguish beam mode from control settings

Multi-mode describes the laser beam mode. It is not a promise of multiple cleaning functions or a reason to assume a particular coating will be removed without a process review. Compare the configured source and surface result with the single-mode suitcase.

Select power and head handling together

The table lists 5 mJ at 200 W and 5 or 15 mJ at 300/500 W. Head weight is 0.9 kg at 200 W, 1.25 kg at 300 W and 1.5 kg at 500 W. Review both the process pairing and head handling for the working positions involved.

Agree the removal result before output targets

All three options list a 10–100 mm cleaning width and a maximum scan speed of 30,000 mm/s. These are process references, not cleaned area per hour. Use representative surfaces, passes and access conditions to establish output at the agreed acceptance level.

Machine selection questions

What does multi-mode change on this page?

It identifies a different laser beam-mode configuration from the single-mode suitcase. The available power and pulse-energy pairings are listed explicitly; the term does not mean extra welding or cutting functions.

Which power and pulse-energy combinations are listed?

The current configuration lists 200 W with 5 mJ and 300 or 500 W with 5 or 15 mJ options. Confirm the chosen pairing rather than treating every pulse-energy value as available at every power.

Does cleaning-head weight vary with power?

Yes. It is listed as 0.9 kg at 200 W, 1.25 kg at 300 W and 1.5 kg at 500 W. Include the head and cable handling in the review of the operator’s working position.

Why compare this with the multi-mode backpack?

The suitcase moves on wheels and lists five-metre fiber; the backpack is carried and lists 1.5 m fiber with optional battery supply. Compare the transport method and power access as well as the process options.

How should cleaning quality be accepted?

Agree the layer to be removed and the allowed condition of the underlying surface, including any requirements for the next process. Evaluate representative geometry and record passes and working time; scan speed alone cannot establish acceptance or throughput.
